Mechanical things

May 9, 2016

Last week, I brought my bicycle to Ottawa City Hall where there is a free bike tune up clinic each May. I watched as the mechanic checked over and tuned up my old, much loved, indestructible bike and was struck by the fact that the entire thing is mechanical. I love this. And I learned because my “cheap” (who knew?) bike is an old cheap bike, it happens to also be well engineered, so it can always be repaired. I love this too.
